I am CBC News: New Brunswick's eye on the North. I shoot, edit, and produce news and current affairs content for television and radio. Stories range from a village's hopes of employment hinging on a medical marijuana plant in Atholville to a series on the physical fitness of the province, and what it means for New Brunswickers.
People and communities create the stories, and I am fortunate to tell them.
I was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario.
In 2009 I moved to New Brunswick to pursue studies in Journalism at St Thomas University knowing classes would be held in the basement of CBC Fredericton. Upon graduation, I scored a summer internship and received the magic key card "upstairs."
Since May 2013, I have been part of the CBC News team, first as a reporter for television and radio in Fredericton and Saint John, then as a casual associate producer on two of the morning radio shows.
In January 2014, I was hired as a video journalist based in Bathurst, covering an area from the Quebec border to the Northeastern tip of New Brunswick.
I've learned efficiency, problem solving skills, and some of the finer points of Acadian storytelling.
